When I was a little boy my grandmother gave me three books; The Bible, Aesop‘s fables, and an old Mother Goose collection that had been my great grandfather’s. Most of the traditional anonymous lyrics on this CD come from the Mother Goose collection. A few of them I added too, or finished the story with my own lyrics or compiled a few of the Mother Goose rhymes that weren’t formerly together into a whole piece. The exception would be the lyrics to the tune “Sticker Getters” which Rebecca Stout brought to an odd track that I was working on. It is an old rhyme that she grew up with singing and dancing in Tennessee. She learned it from her mother.
I wrote all the music and all the lyrics that do not have traditional specified next to the title.
