Terrified smile New bood My old religion More smoke since you've been around Bone dry What have I brought in? Mood rings An ultimatum Spy rockets can't invade my space Touchdown at the Mars Man's face Same channel and the same bat place Look around look around with a very large mind Sold used Your invitation Realize the best deal went down Red boots initiation Danger is holding your breath Spy rockets can't invade my space Touchdown at the Mars Man's face Same channel and the same bat place Look around look around with a very large mind Spy rockets can't invade my space Look around look around with a very large mind Terrified smile Terrified smille Hell bent This time I won't Land Flood gates to higher vision Spy rockets can't invade my space Touchdown at the Mars Man's face Same channel and the same bat place Look around look around with a very large mind Spy rockets can't invade my space Touchdown at the Mars Man's face Same channel and the same bat place Look around look around with a very large mind Look around look around with a very large mind Terrified smile Terrified smile

Sacrifice 02:51
Groove through the seasons Oh, my love Dance to the music in my bones Dig with a hunger, lonely dog This for the promised second sun Turn my whole world over to you Learn without words what else to do Lift seven veils before my eyes Wished from a wellsprings sacrifice Grant us, oh spirits in the trees Rest for the weary and diseased Smile on the jester's best disguise Wished from a wellsprings sacrifice Sacrifice Sacrifice Groove through the seasons Oh, my love Dance to the music in my bones Dig with a hunger, lonely dog This for the promised second sun

I'm left out side All roped and tide Like a Taurus moon bull When I catch my flight and wave Goodnight from a pterodactyl Beyond rhyme or reason Beyond my horizon Forever now and only now thirteen ghost dancers make no sound And as I break my vows and pray out loud No one answers as I drown Beyond rhyme or reason Beyond my horizon Smoking mirror of the Heaven's dome Scattered ashes mark The Great Return I don't mind doing time Every now and then I don't mind doing time Every now and then Have you seen my white stone? Cross my bones it was thrown Beyond my horizon Between the daylight and the dark Stands the Lord of both ways In the dream of snake bites I wear a mask To the fires on All Hallows' Eve I don't mind doing time Every now and then I don't mind Doing time I don't mind I don't mind doing time Every now and then I don't mind Doing time I don't mind

The Howling 04:20
Well, how long have I hoped To kiss the stranger's hand There's no need now to explain Just let me understand Release me to my grave No need now to pretend I will cross that final line to close my haunted eyes Every night I wait for you All night, yea With my life I wait for you Sleeping on the floor There's nothing on the table It's hard now to ignore The howling in the night It's racing through your veins The fears that entertain you Oh, how will you sustain your growing appetite? Every night I wait for you All night With my life I wait for you There's violence at your door And chains won't keep you in You've always wanted more Since you first tasted your own blood With my life I wait for you

It's all my fault You had to risk it all and deal me in My queen of shades I sank beneath the waves lying low on dark moon One way We taxi down the runway Wrong lane Right to fate Left barking up the wrong tree Three days Deep world of sound Drivin' me underground All alone I'm dying One way We taxi down the runway Wrong land Right to fate Left barking up the wrong tree Three days Three dark nights Slight of hand played the joker wild But her story eclipses my story It's her story Lie low dark moon Lie low dark moon Three dark Three dark nights I'm bound by my demon's pride Cuz her story eclipses history It's Herstory Lie low dark moon Lie low dark moon

Sing to me A music box song By candle light I watch your shadow on my wall Dark parts of you Made me feel so at home But I left home Just once Just like I'm leaving you I said what I came to say I show what I can't explain Tasting the tears we make Aiming our arrows straight Straight to Hell Where Heaven used to be Sing to me A Righteous song An Unchained Melody I said what I came to say I show what I can't explain Tasting the tears we make Aiming our arrows straight To Hell I said what I came to say I show what I can't explain Tasting the tears we make Aiming our arrows straight To Hell

All The Same 04:01
A promise is forever Our names in the sand I tried so hard to hold on to your hand Love is forever Angels in the snow Breaking us down trough zero and below Try to love you all the same I try to love you all the same Try to love you all the same Dreamers are forever You once said to me Just close your eyes and tell me what you see Circles are forever Nowhere to begin You push me out holding all you pain in Try to love you all the same I try to love you all the same Try to love you all the same

I need a friend I need an enemy as my defense Return to send Let's stop and think a spell before we begin Eros guardian Caught up in circles of now and when I see you again I couldn't breathe til the story's end Venus and child My silent partner sings I flower and fade I lean on a sign Moments of clarity are reasons to rhyme Eros guardian Caught up in circles of now and when I see you again I couldn't breathe til the story's end Eros guardian Caught up in circles of now and when I see you again I couldn't breathe til the story's end

If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber’d here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to ‘scape the serpent’s tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends

Graduation day stalks me like I'm prey Make it to the end Lose my oldest friends in conquest of One World Get what you can I'm nothin' Well after my release Still I drag my leash Tempered by the laws Blind to what I saw before they got to me Potential was free I'm nothin' I'm nothin' Dad says talk is cheap He talks anyway Logic of deceit Went to war for peace The end justifies the means in the One World scheme I'm nothin'.......

about

In 1995 my wife and I were living on Music Row in Nashville. Sixteenth Avenue Sound Recording Studio had an apartment attic and we crashed there for a year while we recorded this album and a slew of other songs. We also made some lifelong friends and a lot of cool art.
Brian Hardin recorded live takes (with a few overdubs) of the band to analog tape.

Big thanks to these great musicians who played on this album; Chris Tench - guitar on tracks 2, 3, 4,and 8. David Crocco - percussion. Ernie Aguilar - fretless bass tracks 2 and 3 .. Robert Dixon - upright bass tracks 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Jimmy Bowland - flute on track 9 and percussion on tracks 4 and 7. Chuck Tilley - drums (brushes on a cardboard box) on track 4.

I played acoustic guitar on all tracks, soprano saxophone tracks 3 and 7, flute tracks 1, 2 and 8, drums, and keyboards.

Recorded and mixed by Brian Hardin 1995.
Remastered and two remixes (Mind At Large and I'm Nothin') by Dick Aven 2022.

Art by Chris Aven.
